I'm just starting up this blog now, as I know that my family has been changing how we live dramatically over the past year, and I wish that someone had a concise site that really illustrated some of the 'best practices' they had gone through and the best resources they found.
We are a normal, urban family, living in a city of 2+ million people, and are striving to make less of an impact on the world every day. I'm going to chronicle some of those changes, and philosophies on this site. I hope you find it worthwhile!

Kari,
I was led to this blog through your Stamping blog...someone had sent a link to you cute, cute owl card. I'm a Stampin' Up! demonstrator living in the far NW suburbs of Chicago - just joined one year ago. I really enjoyed reading through your postings and you have given me something to think about (regarding our environment, health, less is more, etc.). Thanks for taking the time to do this...I may pick up some of the books you've recommended. Your posting on laundry drying took me back to many years ago as well - my Mother ALWAYS hung clothes outside (when possible) in Wisconsin and we did for awhile after we got married too (& lived in WI). I loved it and the fresh smell it gave to sheets, towels, etc. When we moved here 15 years ago, just kind of gave it up. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts!
